Strengthening Our Future

To Our Friends, Neighbors, & Benefactors,

Thank you for making 2005 another very successful year for the Community Foundation of Union County Inc. aka The Union County Foundation. We continue to be amazed and inspired by the generosity of Union County’s citizens, business community, and organizations. Union County is among the fastest growing counties in the state of Ohio. Growth brings opportunity but it also portends change. The Union County Foundation is committed to continuing to evolve so as to be properly positioned to accommodate and facilitate the ever changing charitable inclinations of our growing population. We appreciate your trust and look ever so forward to serving you in the exciting days ahead.

"One thing today's family philanthropists can do is to tell their stories more publicly and openly, to circulate widely the values, lessons, and examples that will inspire and enable tomorrow's family donors to follow in their footsteps..."

The Union County Foundation
Proudly the Union County Foundation is one of over 500 community foundations found throughout the United States and one of over 70 community foundations in the state of Ohio. Our roots date back to 1953 and are tied to some of the area’s great early philanthropists. Our primary purpose is to assist individuals, organizations, and businesses with the accumulation, investment and distribution of charitable dollars. We support programs and projects of promise that are responsive to community needs.

We are a 501(c)(3) not for profit charitable organization. The Foundation’s IRS Form 990 is available for public review during scheduled office hours. Our assets work to provide a type of venture capital for creative problem solving and strengthening key community institutions. We proudly are a member of the National Council on Foundations and adhere to their strict code of standards for community foundations.

As a community foundation, the Union County Foundation strives to help individuals and organizations accomplish their charitable goals. Through a broad array of gifting methods we offer donors not only permanency of stewardship but also maximum tax advantages as they apply to charitable giving. By promoting and facilitating philanthropy we hope to enhance the quality of life in Union County and challenge each of us to participate in its future betterment through charitable giving.
